Chennai Open-Doubles title

Eric Butorac and Rajeev Ram clinched the 2009 Doubles title, beating Jean-Claude Scherrer and Stanislas Wawrinka 6-3,6-4.

The runners-up took down the top seeded pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles in their Quarter Finals match, 3-6,6-3(10-8) and fourth seeds Scott Lipsky and David Martin in the Semis, 6-4,6-4.

The second seeds, Lukas Dlouhy and Leander Paes lost their first round match against Bjorn Phau and Rainer Schuettler, 6-4, 2-6(7-10). The second Semi Final, featuring the eventual winners against Bjorn Phau and Rainer Schuettler was called off due to Schuettler's wrist injury.
