Steve Jobs, Former Apple CEO Dies At The Age Of 56


Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, died on Wednesday in Palo Alto, California, at the age of 56. The death was officially announced by Apple. Their homepage is now filled with Steve Jobs Remembrance. Steve Jobs has been suffering from some peculiar form of pancreatic cancer. Despite being unwell, he lead Apple from the front till August, when he finally decided to quit. He has underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer in 2004, underwent a liver transplant in 2009 and took as many as 3 medical leaves to take rest.

When he resigned as the CEO of Apple in August, he handled it to Tim Cook, the current Chief Operating Officer. Steve Jobs was the most passionate leader in technology industry for the past two decades. Apple website has a separate page for Steve Jobs urging people to send their remembrance for their tech leader.

Apple says like, “Apple has lost a visionary and a creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple”. Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerburg says, “Steve, thank you for being a mentor and a friend. Thanks for showing that what you build can change the world. I will miss you.”
